Been on a Road Trip?

In February 2008, TGA students, faculty and staff crossed the state to meet with students and families who wanted to learn more about attending the academy. The sessions provided the inside scoop on life at TGA, and also afforded prospective students the chance to directly ask questions about this unique learning experience.

At the same time, TGA students took part in a totally unique experience: the I-40 Road Trip. From Feb. 14-19, academy students traveled from the Smoky Mountains to Memphis and just about everywhere in between on a quest to learn more about the state.

Along the way, they learned about Tennessee's unique geology at sites such as Fall Creek Falls and Cades Cove, explored history and archaeology at Dunbar Cave, and immersed themselves in Volunteer State culture at sites from The Hermitage to Graceland to the Civil Rights Museum.

We invite you to read student blog entries and see pictures sent in from TGA students as they made their way. It was good to meet you, and we'll see some of you here on campus this fall!
