Over the next 10 days, TGA students, faculty and staff will be crisscrossing the state to meet with students and their families who want to learn more about attending the academy next fall. The sessions will give you the inside scoop on life at TGA, and also give you the chance to ask questions for yourself.
At the same time, TGA students will be taking part in a totally unique experience: the I-40 Road Trip. From Feb. 14-19, academy students will travel from the Smoky Mountains to Memphis and just about everywhere in between on a quest to learn more about the state.
Along the way, they'll learn about Tennessee's unique geology at sites such as Fall Creek Falls and Cades Cove, explore history and archaeology at Dunbar Cave, and immerse themselves in Volunteer State culture at sites from The Hermitage to Graceland to the Civil Rights Museum.
Here, you can find out more about the information sessions being held across the state, and also read blog entries and see pictures sent in from TGA students as they make their way. Oh, and if you see the TGA bus -- HONK!
