Have You Ever…

  • Dreamed about, planned, and undertaken a Big Adventure?
  • Taken things apart to figure out how they work…and then put the pieces back in working order?
  • Used your family microwave to melt something cool, like lunar rocks?
  • Been told (frequently) that you ask A Lot of Questions?
  • Invented something new while you were supposed to be listening in class?
  • Been deeply unsatisfied with the response, "Because I said so," to the Very Important Question, "Why?"
  • Developed and espoused your own unique philosophy?
  • Designed—and then built—a better mouse trap?
  • Plotted a private jaunt to the moon on a rocket designed & engineered by you?
  • Tried to change the world?
  • Wondered frequently about…Everything?

TGA looks for students who have a sense of adventure; who never stop asking questions and looking for answers. You’ll live and learn in a community of like-minded people, and be exposed to some of the world’s best minds.

To be part of TGA, you’ll need to be independently-minded and able to commit yourself and your significant aptitudes in science and math to the life of the mind. Your time at TGA will be immersed in learning. Of course, that doesn’t mean you won’t have the chance have fun, too. In fact, TGA students are encouraged to bring their love for science together with a variety of extracurricular activities.

More than anything, a TGA student should be committed to learning more about science and mathematics as an avenue to learning more about the world around them.

Note: There is a new requirement for students seeking admission to the fall 2008 incoming class. You must submit scores for at least one of the following exams: ACT, SAT, PSAT, or PLAN.
